Last night brought us a rather exciting episode of “American Idol,” in which the Top 6 finalists all performed songs from this week’s mentor, Shania Twain. Did you watch last night’s episode? If you did, then who do you think outshone everyone else this week?
Lee DeWyze * AWESOME* was the first finalist onto the stage last night, kicking off the Shania Twain performances with his rendition of “You’re Still the One.” Yes he made the song his own last night, but he was still plagued with the pitch problems that he’s had throughout the series but still freaking awesome.
Next up to the stage was Michael “Big Mike” Lynche, who performed “It Only Hurts When I’m Breathing.”After he’d finished performing, Simon Cowell described his performance as a little bit wet. *SOUNDS TOTALLY WRONG* What did you guys think of Big Mike’s performance last night?
Casey James was up next, singing Shania Twain’s “Don’t.” Before he performed, Casey promised to show something different this week and that’s exactly what he did do. He definitely impressed the judges, with them describing it as his best performance yet.
Then came the contestant that many had been waiting to hear, Crystal Bowersox. She performed “No One Needs to Know Right Now” and compared to the previous performances, it wasn’t her best. And that came across with the judges’ comments as well.
Next to perform was Aaron Kelly, who sang “You Got a Way.” *wasnt that bad* This was followed by the last performance of the night, from Siobhan Magnus. She performed “Any Man of Mine,” and did appear to struggle a little in places. However, Simon said it was a good performance.
Everyone did alright! So who do you think will be going home?
